Firstly to introduce myself, My name is Linda Culleton. My passion is to help you take charge of your Mental Wellbeing and to recover from ocd. While working as an accountant I pushed my body and mind to the limit due to this began to suffer with severe anxiety.
The Anxiety attacks were regular and manifested as the follow:
- a nervous feeling throughout my body
- constant feeling of a lump in my throat
- Dry mouth
- Regular blushing around people
At this time in my life, my only way to cope was weekends fuelled with Alcohol. As a result this made me feel worse and created more Anxiety. I later developed a condition called Obsessive Compulsive disorder of which the ocd symptoms were intrusive thoughts of harming myself and others.These ocd symptoms were devastating to live with and as a result affected my confidence.
Unsure of how to deal with these ocd symptoms and anxiety , I was issued medication however I felt there must be another way and as a result my journey of healing began.I began taking Kundalini yoga & Meditation classes which lead to training to be a Teacher.During my teacher training, I discovered a specific breath exercise called the OCD Breath in Kundalini Yoga Meditation that transformed my life.Finally finding my passion in life to help people prevent and recover from ocd and also to educate people on ocd symptoms so signs can be picked up early.

I have been going to kundalini yoga with Linda for the last 12 months. My flexibility and stress levels have improved greatly. The yoga exercises make you aware of your breathing and relaxes your mind. Linda has thought us simple useful exercises that we can use on a daily basis to calm the mind and body if we feel stressed or anxious. Linda’s classes are relaxing and therapeutic and Linda’s calmness makes for a very enjoyable class.
What I like about yoga is that it makes me feel relaxed, sleepy and calm. I love the song I am happy I am good. My favourite part is when we get to lie down with a blanket over us. It is very relaxing, I feel like falling asleep. I would like to do yoga every week.

After hearing a radio interview with Linda describing how she teaches Kundalini yoga classes specifically for mental health and wellbeing, I knew that this was exactly what I needed. I initially started seeing Linda for private 1-1 sessions on a weekly basis so that I could get a tailored program to practice at home myself. Each class is a wonderful mix of stretching, breathing, chanting and meditating, and Linda’s style of teaching is very humanistic. She meets you where you’re at and shows great compassion and care, whilst bringing warmth and humour. I have found Linda’s classes to be powerful. The changes in my mind-set and energy have been both subtle and profound, and I look forward to continuing on this journey.
I never thought that I would be sitting cross legged chanting and taking deep breaths ever but never say never that is exactly what I’m doing and I just love it. Linda herself is just so nice and helpful full of advice and encouragement to us all. Every Wednesday it’s my time for myself and I wouldn’t miss it. As a former participant and active Director of Social Anxiety Ireland, a Irish charity established to provide a treatment program and support for people with social anxiety issues, I am inspired to create a Global therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
